Shower of Love History
From 2006-2024, the CCRB and local non-profit partners joined forces each April to collect donations of baby formula, diapers, wipes, and baby care basics for babies and families in St. Charles County. Donations were distributed to our non-profit partners serving moms, caregivers, and babies. Shower of Love helpe reduce the risk of child neglect and abuse, while easing financial strain for parents.
Over the years, thousands of volunteers and community partners came together annually to “shower” babies with love. Community partners hosted collection drives during April and the Shower culminated with a grocery store event at the end of April. All donations remain within the County, and 100% of donations go directly to families experiencing poverty, homelessness, or crisis.
With the generous support of our community, the Shower of Love collected over $1,045,000 in baby items, supporting thousands of St. Charles County children and caregivers annually.
